Mike Duffy: I was wondering when you go from high school to the minor leagues, what was the biggest challenge when you reach each stage?

Kyle Young: I would say the biggest challenge was just adjusting to the longer season and more games!

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite thing about being a Phillies?

Kyle Young: My favorite thing about being a Philly would be the family atmosphere in the organization with all the coaches and staff and the friends I’ve made.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite hobby besides baseball?

Kyle Young: My favorite hobby is golf.

Mike Duffy: Who was your favorite baseball player growing up?

Kyle Young: Growing up my favorite player was Randy Johnson and then Clayton Kershaw.

Mike Duffy: What was your favorite team growing up?

Kyle Young: My favorite team growing up was the Mets.

Mike Duffy: Goals for this offseason?

Kyle Young: My goals for this offseason is to just work hard every day and get stronger and hopefully add some velocity.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite stadium?

Kyle Young: My favorite stadium is Citizens Bank Park.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite Movie?

Kyle Young: My favorite movie is Lone Survivor.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite T.V. Show?

Kyle Young: My favorite T.V. show is Game of Thrones or the Office.

Mike Duffy: Do you have a motto or a thing to do to get you out of a rough time?

Kyle Young: I just try to focus on getting better every day!

Mike Duffy: When did you know you wanted to play professional baseball?

Kyle Young: I’ve wanted to be a professional baseball player since I was a kid its a dream come true!

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite baseball memory?

Kyle Young: I think my favorite memory is getting drafted.

Mike Duffy: What is your biggest takeaway after this season?

Kyle Young: I would say the success came from working hard every day with my coaches and focusing on getting better every day. One takeaway from this year is to trust my stuff and to play every day like its my last!
