Mike Duffy: I was wondering  when you go from high school, to the minor leagues, what was the biggest challenge when you reach each stage?

Joe Palumbo: Coming from high school it’s just a huge change. Everything’s different, I had a lot to learn. I still continue to learn everyday. Other than that, it’s baseball. I got out every start and pitch my heart out.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite thing about being a Ranger?

Joe Palumbo: Being a ranger is awesome. I’m forever grateful that they gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dream. They take great care of every one of their players.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite hobby besides baseball?

Joe Palumbo: What I do besides baseball. I like to play video games, and just hanging out and laying low.

Mike Duffy: Who was your favorite baseball player growing up?

Joe Palumbo: My favorite player growing up was Derek Jeter.

Mike Duffy: What was your favorite team growing up?

Joe Palumbo: While my favorite team was the Mets haha

Mike Duffy: Do you have any game day Superstitions?

Joe Palumbo: I’m not really to superstitious. I kind of just have an everyday routine in between starts. If adjustments need to be made, then they will.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite stadium?

Joe Palumbo: Don’t really have a favorite stadium. I think they’re all beautiful.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite Movie? What is your favorite T.V. Show?

Joe Palumbo: My favorite movie is Wedding Crashers. My favorite show is Game of Thrones.

Mike Duffy: Do you have a motto or a thing to do to get you out of a rough time?

Joe Palumbo: I don’t have a motto. If I’m having a couple of rough starts, I’ll refer back to games where I threw well and try to figure out what I need to do to be successful every time.

Mike Duffy: When did you know you wanted to play professional baseball?

Joe Palumbo: I knew I wanted to become pro when I was a junior in high school.

Mike Duffy: What is your favorite baseball memory?

Joe Palumbo: My favorite memory was getting that call that I got drafted by the rangers.

Mike Duffy: What is your goal in terms of recovery from Tommy John this year?

Joe Palumbo: Long term goals for me with tommy John. I’d say to make a complete recovery obviously. Just to keep grinding everyday in rehab. My arm is feels great right now. Everything is going according to plan. Just to come back stronger than I was before.

Mike Duffy: Who is your favorite Musician?

Joe Palumbo: My favorite musician, I don’t really have a top one haha but I like listening  to logic a lot.
